As MP2 is headquartered in The Woodlands, we’ve started by collaborating with a solar farm in nearby Sealy, Texas named Local Sun. With 15,000 solar panels on 12 acres of land, the family-run farm has the capacity to power 300 area homes with “farm-to-market” solar energy. The project utilizes distributed generation, which means the panels connect directly to the grid and the short distance to customers minimizes risk and transmission problems.
Local Sun shares our passion for connecting customers with low-cost renewable power without the need for equipment or long-term contracts. By subscribing to this plan, Houston-area residents provide support for Local Sun's outreach efforts to encourage sustainability education in the community.
